Mineral deposits from hard water are often the culprits when the flow from your shower head stops working the way you want it to. You can clean it with a vinegar solution overnight but if that doesn’t work you should more than likely replace the fixture.
The shower pan needs to be looked at periodically as well. Remember that if you ignore this waterproofed part of the system after it stops working properly, you can wind up with a rotted sub floor in you home.
