Plunging as a first line of defense

Getting your Atlanta plumber in on the job is the way to go when it becomes apparent that the sinks and pipes in your home are compromised deep down in the drain, but you should be able to go through at least one DYI measure before you call in the professionals.

Every home owner should know how to use a plunger because stopped up sinks and drains might be quickly fixed using one of these household tools. One of the things that you need to be sure of is that you choose a plunger that’s big enough to fit over the drain hole of the sink or toilet that you’re trying to fix.

Start of by filling the basin with enough water to fill over the top of the plunger cup and hold the plunger upright, using 15 to 20 forceful strokes to see if you can solve the problem. Remember that if that doesn’t work, you’ll need to call in an Atlanta plumbers.
