A Few Tips On Plumbing Leaks

Here at Ridgeway Mechanical, we wouldn’t be able to call ourselves your Atlanta plumbing repair specialists if we didn't know everything we needed to about plumbing in Atlanta and leaks. Here are a few interesting statistics about the damage that a leak can do if left unattended.

For example, a pinhole leak in one of the pipes in your home can waste 360,000 gallons of water in one year. A running toilet leak can cost you money too. In fact estimates say leaving a toilet leak unattended can increase your  water bill by $500.

When you find any kind of leak the first step is to turn off the water supply at that specific appliance or if you can’t find one you need to turn off the main water shutoff. It's always a good idea to know the location of these main water shutoffs.

  1. Those leaks can cause so much water damage if left for too long. One of our pipes has been leaking more and more since last night. I'm looking for a plumber to come take a look at it. I wonder if it's the pressure building up in the pipe.

  2. This is such a great resource that you are providing and you give it away for free. I love seeing websites that understand the value of providing a quality resource for free.
